Which tests might be considered?
There is no universal sexual-health test panel. Testing follows the history and examination and can include blood pressure, blood tests, urine or swabs, hormone assessment or other targeted investigations.
- Blood pressure and cardiovascular risk factors
- Blood glucose or lipids when relevant
- Targeted hormone tests rather than indiscriminate panels
- Urine, blood or site-specific STI samples
- Pelvic or genital examination only when clinically indicated and consented to
